These two files, OBJDATA.DEF and MAPDATA.DEF, contain extended definitions for objects in the 1.4 release of the six-episode version of Wolfenstein. These new objects are not defined in the shareware release. Using them will just crash your game. (The shareware version is very easy to crash using mapedit) I don't know how many of them are defined in the 3 episode version. Perhaps all, perhaps not. These files work with Bill Kirby's MAPEDIT 4.1 (available from ftp.cc.umanitoba.ca /wolf3d/maped41.zip) They define objects and map items not available in his standard release. To use these files, simply unzip them and copy them over your original OBJDATA.DEF and MAPDATA.DEF. These additions define such objects as the Mutants in episode 2 and all the end guys. There are also a few duplicated map items. I can't figure out why they would have two sprites for the same item, but they seem to. Some special objects that I discovered: - E-W vs. N-S elevator doors. The elevator construct (which is 4 blocks in a cross shape with a space in the middle) must have a specific kind of elevator door. If you want the elevator to be entered from the east or west, you need to use the E-W door. If you want the elevator to be entered from the north or south, you need to use the N-S door. The other three blocks in the elevator structure need to be "Elevator," not "Elevator 2" (which I cannot figure out). - What I call "Vampire Hitlers," which are the ghosts of Hitler you find at the end of Episode 3. - Pac-Man ghosts. I will warn you, they are indestructable. They aren't much fun IMHO. - Hanging vines. If you have played the Spear of Destiny game, you have seen the hanging vines that can block your vision. They rarely appear in the six-episode version of Wolfenstein. I found them, though, and you can now add them to your maps. - Some wolf-6 specific sprites: Potbelly stove, rack of spears, hanging pots. I am anxious to find any other sprites defined in the game. If you happen to find some, send them to me at paco@cs.wm.edu. Enjoy! Paco Computer Center, College of William and Mary paco@cs.wm.edu
